However, when you complete these courses that I’m going to tell you, you’re also eligible to teach in any private school.

Actually, to become a government teacher in India, you have three options, with the help of which you can easily become a government teacher.

These options are B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed and B.Ed.

After completing these courses, you have to clear some specific exams. After that, you become a government teacher.

Know, how to study effectively?

1. B.El.Ed –

B.El.Ed is a teaching-related course. It’s the abbreviation for Bachelor of Elementary Education. It’s a four-year program, which is very useful especially for those who want to pursue a teacher eligibility course just after the 12th.

The advantage of doing B.El.Ed is that after completing it, you get the degree of B.Ed within four years.

Usually, to pursue a B.Ed course, you must be a graduate, if you’re not a graduate, you can’t pursue this course ( B.Ed ). That is, it takes a total of five years to complete it after the 12th.

But through B.El.Ed course, you get graduation and B.Ed degree together in four years. Additionally, you’re given the same facilities which are given to a B.Ed degree holder.

After completing B.El.Ed, you become eligible to teach in any private school.

Now, if you want to become a government teacher through this degree, you will have to qualify for TET or CTET first, then pass the main exam. After qualifying for the main exam, you become a government teacher when the whole process is done.

Basically, it’s the first way to become a government teacher after the 12th.

Note –

The main exam of every state is different like if you want to become a government teacher in Uttar Pradesh, you will have to pass STET as the main exam.

2. D.El.Ed –

D.El.Ed course is for those who want to pursue a teacher eligibility course after graduation. That is, you can enroll in this course only after completing graduation.

D.El.Ed stands for Diploma in Elementary Education. It’s also known as BTC ( Basic Training Certificate ). It’s a course with the help of which you can easily become a government teacher. The duration of this course is two years. After completing it, you become eligible to teach in any primary school.

It’s a course in which you’re taught how to teach children, how to teach them that they can understand quickly, how to entice them to engage in studies, etc.

To pursue this course, you’ve to take admission in any D.El.Ed college. The admission is done on the basis of a merit list. The college is allotted only after assessing your High School, Intermediate and Graduation marks.

If the marks are good, you get a government college where the fees are very less. On the other hand, if you have average marks, you get a private college where the fees are very high. When you complete this course, you go through the same specific exams mentioned above to become a government teacher.

That’s all. It’s another way to become a government teacher in India.

3. B.Ed –

B.Ed is abbreviated for Bachelor of Education. It also comes under such courses, with the help of which one can become a government or non-government teacher. To do this course, it’s mandatory for you to be a graduate.

That means B.Ed can’t be pursued by non-graduates.

The duration of this course is two years. The course consists of many educational subjects. Those who pursue this course are taught how to provide effective education to children and also what the methods would be.

To get admitted to a B.Ed college, you have to appear in the entrance exam that is held every year and then colleges are allotted on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam.

Apart from this, if you don’t want to appear in the entrance exam, you can take direct admission in any private college. For that, you have to pay a little extra fee to the college.

After completing this course, you’re eligible to teach in any private college. Now, if you want to become a government teacher through this degree, you will have to pass the same specific exams that I’ve told you above.
