How to Become an IAS officer after 12th Faster Step by Step Guide –

If you recently passed out 12th and decided to become an IAS officer, definitely this article will prove to be very helpful.

The first thing you must know is that one cannot be eligible to become an IAS officer just after passing 12th.

If you’re thinking so, that’s your biggest mistake.

Now, the question is what then?

Basically, to become an IAS officer, it’s compulsory to be a graduate from any recognized University.

When you become a graduate from any recognized University, you can easily apply for the respective exam that is called the UPSC exam.

So, make sure you are a graduate before applying.

Sometimes, those who make a mindset to become an IAS officer beforehand are very confused about which stream is suitable in class 12th to prepare for the IAS exam ( UPSC ) in the future, in my opinion, surely they should choose the Arts stream.

However, it’s not mandatory but when you study art subjects in 12th, they help you a lot when you prepare for the UPSC exam.

Actually, some of the subjects studied in the Arts stream are related to the subjects of UPSC. Therefore, I’m forcing you to choose Arts in 12th.

Above, I’ve told you the very first step that you’ve to follow.

Now, I’ll start telling you some such things that should be followed by you if you wish to become an IAS officer faster than others.

1. Know the whole process –

After passing out the 12th, students often dream of becoming an IAS officer, but they are actually unable to become one as they don’t know the right process.

Sometimes, students take many years to become successful.

The reason behind that is not having proper knowledge of the process.

So, it’s very important to know the whole process before starting preparation so that you can easily achieve your goal.

To know more about it, you can read the relevant sources and if possible take the help of someone who is already in this field.

By doing so, you can be successful sooner than others as the more information you have, the sooner you will get success.

2. Be graduate in B.A –

When students pass out their 12th, most of them are confused about whether to graduate in B.Sc or BA to become an IAS officer.

Well, I don’t say that you won’t be able to apply for or crack the UPSC exam if you complete your graduation in B.Sc.

But definitely, you have to work harder during UPSC preparation than students who completed graduation in BA.

That means when you do B.A, you take advantage of it during UPSC preparation as here you’re taught a lot of such subjects that students study during the preparation.

Additionally, while doing graduation in B.A, I suggest you choose History, Polity, economics as your subjects.

3. Start UPSC preparaion just after graduation –

I’ve also seen such students who are interested in UPSC pursue a master’s degree, but I don’t suggest you do this.

It can hinder your rapid success to become an IAS officer.

Actually, a master’s degree takes at least two years to complete, but I think you can do much better in this interval of time while preparing for UPSC.

So, just go for UPSC preparation as soon as you complete your graduation.

Don’t get confused about pursuing a master’s degree if you want to get success faster than others.

4. Ignore the journey of senior candidates –

When you prepare for the UPSC exam, keep in mind that you’ve to qualify for this exam as soon as possible.

Often students try to do what senior candidates do, but in my opinion, it’s a blunder.

Sometimes, when we listen to someone, we set our mind accordingly and start doing the same what he does, but we shouldn’t.

Though you can collect important information from him, but don’t focus on his entire journey like how much time he took? or how did he study?

Instead, follow your own strategies and path. You may be able to pass this exam sooner than him.

5. Study hard –

As I’ve already told you that preparing for the UPSC exam is not child’s play. It requires patience as well as proper study.

The better and harder study, the sooner you will get success.

To study, you need to make the right strategy so that you can study each and every subject effectively.

It’s natural that when you prepare for UPSC, you will sometimes feel that you should quit now but in reality, you have to accelerate yourself at that time.

As a result, you will definitely achieve your goal.

Final words –

In this way, you can become an IAS officer faster than others after the 12th board exams.

If you follow these tips sincerely, no one can stop you from achieving this goal. Now, I hope that you’ve no doubts about how to become an IAS officer after 12th.

Ultimately, if you really liked this article, please share it with those who need it.
