In this topic, we will discuss all about MD such as MD full form, Qualification and other related information to MD.

Well, the main purpose of this article is to be told about MD full form. But, besides MD full form I have told about other prominent information as well.

So, let’s get started.

MD Full Form, Qualification, Is MD Equal To MBBS ? & Many More –

Since, MD is a highest degree in medical field, so first we should know what the way is to get an MD degree or how to proceed in that ?

Actually, when we enter the medical field, we are probably aware of this as it’s a post graduation degree which is done after completing MBBS.

If someone is interested to become an MD doctor, here I’m going to discuss actual process of being an MD doctor.

If you are interested to know all about BSc, you are free to read that article by clicking the given link.

1. How to become an MD doctor ? –

Well, we know that our career starts after completing 10+2. After passing it out we decide which field would be better for the career.

In fact, after completing 10+2 students have different conceptions and do whatever is best for them.

Some of them decide to go into medical field, but when they start, they actually don’t know where the way will end. But, as time goes away they know all the things related to it.

For your kind information, if you want to become an MD doctor, you should complete MBBS first from one of the medical colleges in India. Then, you will be able to do MD course.

However, the process takes much time but you will definitely get this achievement one day.

The reason behind the delay process is that when you complete MBBS you lost four years at least and then you do MD course, which takes extra time.

Apart from this, when you go through competition process and try to take any government college for pursuing MBBS, it takes more time as compared to direct admission in private colleges.

Overall, you can say that to become an MD doctor, you have to complete intermediate and then beat the competition after that complete your preferred degree and finally do MD course.

This is the process of becoming an MD doctor.

Additionally, I just want to say that medical field is a bit time taking than other ones.

2. MD full form –

When we do any course, first we know the full form of that particular course.

Moreover, I have seen a lot of students who do whatever the course they want are not aware of the full form of the preferred courses.

Hence, in the case of MD course you don’t feel any type of hesitation at the time of asking by someone, I discussed here MD full form and that is Doctor of Medicine.

3. What is MD Qualification ? –

Well, I discussed it above. To be an MD doctor you must complete MD course and it’ll be possible when you will obtain MBBS degree from any recognized medical college.

It means, for doing MD course you should only be graduate in MBBS whether the admission has to be taken through private college or competitive exams.

I think, the point will have been cleared.

4. Is MD equal to MBBS ? –

There is a lot of confusion about this question. Sometimes, people think MD equals to MBBS, but actuality is that both are different.

In fact, MBBS is an under graduate course whereas MD is a post graduation. As a result, you can’t say that MD equals to MBBS.

It means, you can say that both the courses are completely different.

5. Can MBBS write doctor ? –

Yes, an MBBS degree holder can write doctor as a prefix. Even if you are an MD doctor, you are free to use Dr. before your name. It means, both the degrees can provide you Dr. as a prefix.

6. Is BSc better than MBBS ? –

Actually, I consider that BSc is not better than MBBS. It’s so because MBBS is a professional degree whereas BSc is a bachelor degree.

Additionally, it’s a fact that professional degree is hundred times better than a bachelor degree.

Suppose that you do BSc just after 10+2, you don’t get much profit as compared to medical field.

It’s so because if you had spent your valuable years in medical field, definitely you would have been earning better than a BSc holder. This is why, I’m suggesting you to qualify medical exams for MBBS.

But, if you want to study BSc for your better knowledge you can do that.

7. Can I become doctor without NEET ? –

Yes, if you don’t want to become a doctor by qualifying NEET exam, you can have plenty of opportunities in medical field by doing B. Pharma course. Pharmacy can prove a solid career option for you.

B. Pharma can be done by the students who pass out 12th in science stream whether they are PCM students or PCB students.

8. What is the time duration of MD course ? –

The time duration of MD course is 3 years. It means, you will be called a MD doctor after spending this duration successfully in MD course.

9. MD Admission Process ? –

The candidates who are interested to pursue MD course, they requires to sit for NEET PG exam. After that, when the results are declared from NEET PG, the admission begins with the release of the merit list.

It means, the candidates are offered for admission through NEET PG counselling process.

Ultimately, I hope that the article must have satisfied you, because I have covered all the important details about MD such as MD full form, Qualification, Process to be admitted and more.

If you think that the article is really valuable or worthy, please share it those people who need it.

Thank you.
