1. Children’s Day Speech in English for 1 Minute

Hello everyone, my name is Jaya Tiwari and I’m a student in class 5th. As you all know that today is the 14th of November and this day is celebrated as Children’s Day every year.

Actually, on this day, the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was born. He loved children very much. He liked to spend his precious time with them. As a result, his birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day.

This day is completely dedicated to the children.

Children are not only the future of our country but they are also the reason for happiness in our family. Also, they play an important role in the life of parents. In fact, if we don’t have children, our life will become dull.

This day, our love for children, our inclination to take care of them, and our attention to their health increase even more. It’s believed that they are another form of God, they are true to mind. Their movements, actions, and shrieks are very pleasing to us.

That’s why we should always love them whether they are ours or someone else’s.

Thanks.

2. Children’s Day Speech in English for 2 Minutes

All the respected teachers and my dear friends, today is Teacher’s Day. It’s celebrated every year on the 14th of November. Actually, this day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Since Nehru Ji had a great love for children, his birth anniversary is celebrated as Children’s Day. He mixed easily with the children whenever he met them. He believed that children were the next citizens of the country.

Children affectionately called him ‘Chacha Nehru’. The reason for calling him Chacha Nehru was because he was famous as the younger brother of Mahatma Gandhi.

Nehru Ji was a symbol of love for children. He not only thought of the welfare of the children but also guided them with his thoughts. He played a major role in the independence of India. Also, he became the Prime Minister of India thrice.

He promoted compulsory education for the bright future of the children and also talked about their proper upbringing.

That’s why we should love children and pay attention to their education, health, upbringing, etc. Today’s children are the future of India’s tomorrow. One day, they will definitely serve India.

Now, I end my words and wish you all a very Happy Children’s Day.

Thank you.

See, the speech on knowledge is power.

3. Children’s Day Speech in English for 3 Minutes

Good morning to all of you, my name is Mohd. Zeeshan and I study in class 9th. Today, I’m going to give a speech on Children’s Day. Please forgive me, if I make any mistakes.

As everybody knows that Children’s Day is a day completely dedicated to children. We celebrate it with great pomp in schools and many other places.

The reason behind celebrating Children’s Day is that on this day the first Prime Minister of our country, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was born. He was very much attached to children, that’s why remembering his affection towards children, his birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day.

Earlier in India, Children’s Day was celebrated on 20th November but when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru died in 1964, it was celebrated on his birthday to remember his love for children. Still, it continues to be celebrated on 14 November.

Children loved him as much as he loved children. Children called him Chacha Nehru. He considered that children were the future of the country, they will take over the reins of our country in the coming times.

As we give importance to children on this day, if it happens in everyday life, the mental and physical development of children will start faster and they won’t have to suffer any kind of exploitation, but it is not so.

Still, there are many places where child labor and mental abuse of children are at their peak. So, we have to focus on such problems and always love children.

Thank you.
