How to prepare for IIT

Today, in this article I’ll share some useful and magical tips about how to prepare for IIT ?

Frequently, I have seen that the students start knowing the name of IIT from class 9th or 10th, but they are not sure about what is IIT ? or how to prepare for IIT ?

But, some of the students are so intellectual that they start preparing for IIT from class 9th or 10th grade on the guidance of their parents.

In fact, the parents shouldn’t force their children to prepare for IIT from very lower classes.

Because, the best time of preparing for IIT is 11th standard in my opinion. It means, when the students enter the class of 11th, they should start the preparation for IIT.

In addition, I believe that pushing the children to a herculean task at very early classes is not fair enough.

Furthermore, I also believe that when the students are in 9th or 10th standard, they are not so mature that they can bear the pressure of IIT ( Indian Institute of Technology ).

This is why, if you are a parent and want your children to prepare for IIT, wait for the right time.

Sometimes, the students think that the preparation of IIT is an easy task but I think it’s completely vice-versa.

So, without wasting valuable time let’s dive into the article that is about how to prepare for IIT ?

How To Prepare For IIT In 2021 ( Useful Tips ) –

If you are a beginner and want to know how to prepare for IIT, read the article carefully.

Here, I will discuss some excellent tips which can be followed by such students who are in serious mood for preparing.

Often students start the preparation of IIT without any guidance and they really don’t know, how to prepare for IIT ?

Consequently, they are unable to pass the exam.

Therefore, I have explained some magical tactics below.

1. Write your goal on a paper –

It’s a very important to be conscious about your goal.

When the students start preparation, they are very active.

But, as the time goes away, they look lethargic.

This is why, you must note your goal on a paper and stick on a wall so that you can empower yourself by seeing the note repeatedly.

It’s one of the best techniques to focus on your goal.

2. Make a time table –

A time table plays an important role to study systematically.

Studying in a cluttered way isn’t so effective as studying in a systematic way.

Preparing the syllabus of IIT means you have to focus on only three subjects ( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ).

If you spend around 6 hours on the respective subjects ( Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ) and 1 hour on ST ( speed test ), I’m making you sure that no one can prevent you from selection.

It means, you have to spend 2 hours on Physics, 2 hours on Chemistry, 2 hours on Mathematics and 1 hour on mock tests.

3. Join a coaching program –

By the way, I never suggest you to join a coaching program.

But, in case of preparing for IIT you must join a coaching program.

If the students feel that they can pass the exam without getting into coaching, I think it will be a bit tough.

Because, I have seen the books related to IIT and found that some concepts are so tough that the students cannot understand themselves.

Particularly, if we talk about Physics, it cannot be studied without animation videos properly.

Because, IIT is all about concepts. This rule applies not only to physics, but also to chemistry and mathematics.

4. Split topics into subtopics –

In most of the cases, students are bored due to comprehensive syllabus of IIT.

At the same time, some students split the topics into subtopics and then they study. As a result, they look very keen to study the chapters.

Splitting the topics into subtopics makes easier to study the chapters.

5. Test your preparation –

Studying the syllabus and testing yourself on various points both are different things.

When you prepare yourself for a pre-destined syllabus, it’s mandatory to check yourself by attempting various types of test series.

In my opinion, if you are preparing for IIT, you should definitely join Fit zee or Allen test series. At the same time, you can join other test series, which are perfect in your perspective.

Because, if you give your best, you will achieve the destination.

Otherwise keep in your mind that preparing for IIT isn’t a child’s play. Either way you must work hard to achieve the goal.

6. Choose books wisely –

Sometimes, students are unsuccessful to achieve their goal because of not choosing right material or books.

The right material or books can take you to your destination. This is why, it’s very important to choose right books to study.

If you are confused about choosing books, I’m telling you some of the best books related to IIT.

To understand the concepts of Mathematics, you can go with R.D Sharma ( Vol 1 and Vol 2 ) or S.K Goyal.

For Chemistry and Physics, you must study O.P Tandon and H.C Verma ( Vol 1 and Vol 2 ) respectively.

Note – Don’t get bogged down in many books.

7. Revision Process –

Suppose that students who are preparing for IIT and have studied the entire syllabus, but they don’t revise the syllabus at all, their preparation will be meaningless for them.

Revision is the most important work by which you can properly remind the concepts as well as practice them.

The way you revise the syllabus should be effective.

At the time of revision, you should pay attention to the formulas, basic concepts and marked things which had been specified when studied for the first time.
